2000 --> 2000xl, worth the upgrade?

sorry i know this has been asked before.

im liking the 2000 ive got but a chance to switch to a 2kxl has come up and at a price where it wont really cost me anything once i sell the 2000 classic. i just want to know is it actually worth the switch. im comfortable chopping on the 2k classic with the manual zoning but i havnt ever used the auto zoning on the xl and i hear its much faster and easier to use. ive read this link www.mpc2000xl.com and the only features that really jump out at me as being worth the switch are the multiple programs and the file folder support, and obviously i can put a card reader in there. what i really want to know is, is the auto zones, multiple programs, folders and card reader option a big enough reason to switch machine.

and one more thing, can u set up the xl so that you can have your samples cancel each other out. basically like making a whole program mono.

no...but you can have one pad mute two other pads itself excluded.

I say don't bother switching from a 2000 to a 2000XL. You'll get some nice features from an XL yes, but its not going to revolutionalise your workflow.
If you really feel limited by a 2000 then for not much more money you should go for a 2500, or for equal and maybe even less money a 1000.
Saying all that if its not going to cost you anything to switch to an XL then go for it. It won't do any harm and you've nothing to lose.

THe 2000 doesnt like upgrades as well as the 2000XL, with the XL you have your tilt screen which is a big plus and you can have MCD card reader which is way better than zip disks, but i would save your $$ and sell your 2000 and upgrade to a 1000 or a 2500 if possible, the processors in the 1000 and 2500 blow away the 2000/2000XL's You will just be wasting your time going from a 2000 to a 2000 XL<<<<<<<<<<<PEACE
