Did not have to because he was banned 2 days later for selling fake MPC's.

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but have you tried the GUITAR CENTER website??

I got my MPC1000 there for only $400 bucks!!! It was used, but it works perfectly well!! I didn't even need to update the pads, they're fine. Just go to guitarcenter.com and click on Used Gear. There's an actual picture of the unit there.

The best thing is that if it wasn't working for any reason when I got in the mail.... I can simply return it to my nearest Guitar Center.

That's my favorite store!!! I LIVE THERE!!

Plus, they will ship the unit to the nearest store for pick up, if it's far away if I remember right. Plus, there's some sort of warranty. If I wanted to save money, but was skeptical of scams on ebay, I'd check there.

I don't know...maybe my GC guy was doing me a favor. I was looking into getting a mixer through the used section and he told me he'd get it to Austin free. I buy from this guy exclusively because he hooks me up...maybe he just wanted another commission check!
