Hi,

Tried os2. Didnt like it. Gone back to 5.54 by loading the bin. But....the unit still splash's "Stop + power on for os2".

How do I clear that?

Ok its not a biggie but I like things clean... :D

Cheers

Try installing the Akai OS first, then OS1

i dont think u can do nothin about that cuz if i remember correctly before OS2 came out, OS1 5.53 had that screen..U probably have to go back to 5.52 for that screen not to be there

Gee I dunno. If you choose to use OS 1, why do you have to see the OS2 advertisement evertime you boot? Seems kinda pushy.

Man...sorry, but obviously you don`t get it. :o
When you start making beats with OS1 and then switch to OS2, you wont be able to play Songs you did with OS1 properly, when you are in OS2.
That`s why you have the Option to boot either one of them, by holding the stop button on start up.

What i also dont understand, is why most people seem to have problems with the OS2..
I think it`s so much better that the first one and "non destructive chop" itself, is worth getting it. :D

So why isn't there an option in OS1 to hide the "Buy OS2 and install NOW" screen ?

BTW I am taking the role of a total dick because I think if you don't want OS2 you shouldn't have JJ reminding you to buy it. Personally, I feel cheated that we get OS1 and then have to pay for a completely new OS 2 for more features. I was wrong and Jahrome was right. Ouch, that hurt to say that
