SCSI CD-ROM

...where can i get a good deal on a scsi cd-rom for the mp 2kxl...and can i save my song material on it on cd's and load them back into it...speak back...thanks...

no you will not be able to save on a cd-rom.....computer conventions works.....ebay works......

thanks...i'm tryin' to find the efficient for sav/loading sounds...my scsi zip is showing "disk read error" on all my disk...but thanks anyway...looks like for now i gotta sitck with the floopy's...

or an internal zip......

my scsi zip works fine..

yeah, i had an internal zip...i was workin' on a beat and i just left it on all night...i went to save the beat when i got up the next mornin' and i got the "disk read error"...so i tried another disk...same thing...so i got and external one off ebay...same situation...so now its back to the floopy...

my SCSI ZIP drive works fine too......never had any problem with the drive or the disks.......

i have an old cdrw that i bought for my vs-880 long time ago. i bought the 25 to 50 pin adapter and it works fine. if you want go on ebay and search vs-880 and you'll find plenty of scsi drives. hope that helps!

That's funny I just got an old SCSI 8X CDRW for free from the IT department at work since they don't use SCSI anymore. How does that work anyway. Do I just save to it like it were a Zip and it writes it to the disc. I was just going to use it for loading my 3 GB worh of samples from my PC instead of always transfering via Zip disc I can create a 4 volume CD-R disc set, but in the event I decide to write to the CDRW I'll definitely use a ReWriteable disc. EBAY is probably the best source to buy one though to answer the initial question.
