Best 80's pop albums to flip?

Best 80's pop albums to flip?

Often, the easiest records to find are really awful 80's records. Anyone use these to their advantage? I'd love to hear what other people are doing with these... One band that I have found to have amazing sounds is Depeche Mode. A lot of dance music, but these guys really were sampling pioneers. Some of the sounds that they came up with are amazing...

Depeche Mode sampling pioneers? :? They dont use that many samples mostly synths and drumcomputors

The stuff that I'm refering to is from around 86 or 87. There's a lot of machine type of samples. Motor loops and stuff. Really impressive sounds. It's hard to get a good sample though. I've always liked when people make music out of something that normaly isn't music at all. A lot of early rap kind of had that quality... For example Ice T's DJ (DJ Aladin I think) on OG. The opening of that album is just sirens and a lot of clanging. But used in a loop, it really has a catchy feel to it that I don't think I picked up right away.

I read that they were using Emulator and Emax a lot...

What you should be looking for is vintage gear, sounds or plugins in that case.
