MPC1000 broken buttons.....UK supplier ???

Hola,

My ol' MP1k got broken start and tempo buttons. it's red/blue version. I need button replacement. I had a chat with akaipro in uk - they've sent me smaller buttons then in my mpc. I was told by akai guy it's for new mpc (black one) which i think it's not true, but it doesn't matter. after few weeks i tried again and they sent me to cimplesolutions company. no luck this time too. i have a phone chat and sent email - no answer. i live in london and need those buttons really asap.

guys do you know any uk/london company which sells PLAY/START button and TAP TEMPO (blue/red MPC)
any phones, links or adresses - really appropriate.

they're larger tact switches that you need.
the ones they sent you are small and have a little black button part, yeah?
you need larger ones. if anyone wants to pop their mpc open and measure the large tact switch it i could probably find you some on ebay.

tact switches are fine, I need 2 white ( sorry;) butons

yeah that's what i should have seen
typically it's the tact switches that go bad
unfortunately the buttons are akai specific, i think
if we could find a 3rd party manufacturer of those buttons, we'd save ourselves some $$
my numeric button is busted and i just haven't replaced it...

Now it's the funniest part..
in UK they don't have it at all....

i found company - 16 pounds for 2 buttons.....
it 32 $....and button cost 3 $...
it's hard to believe but true
