Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By Countercultured Thu Jul 10, 2008 5:08 pm
I read in another forum where someone stated adjusting the sampling rate in the MPC 2000xl from 16 to 12-bit was possible. The person failed to mention how to do it, however.

If this is true, A) will you get a similar sound as the MPC 60, and B) how do you accomplish adjusting the sampling rate?

I might be able to figure it out myself, but I just moved and my MPC is still boxed. I'm using computer/software for the moment. Been using Reason/Recycle for sampling in the meantime (I'm pretty impressed actually).

Thanks for any insight.

you can adjust the bitrate in the trim screen..

don't know if you can record directly in 12bit..

I kick my drums sometimes to 8bit in the trim screen for the raw sound..
