I'm having a problem with pad 2 triggering pad 3. I checked all settings(normal mode) and it still happens. no other pads are doing this. It even triggers by itself without me touching a pad. maybe sensors going bad?

opened it but didn't notice anything strange so i closed it so i wouldn't screw anything up. i also notice pads 6 and 7 doing the same thing as 2 and 3. may send it to vst one mo gen!!!

you probably need a new sensor (70.00$ at mpcstuff.com) then you could install it yourself. it cant be crazy difficult i did it on a 2kxl and 1000

don't wanna speak too fast but it seems to have stopped-anyone have this happen and stop on it's own? about 6 to 8 months ago i was experiencing some pads would trigger others when i pressed down and released the pad. then it just stopped. a friend said his 2500 was doing the same thing. glitches in the matrix or just failing sensors

Hey Deegood,
I had this happen to me with my MPC60 and MPC3000...
I didn't replace the sensor pads just unplugged the sensor cable from the main board, gave it a clean and replugged it and they all started working correctly... The pad sensors will probably need replacing at some point...
But that seemed to fix the problem... Possibly it was nothing more than a loose cable.....
Time will tell... They have worked for the last year without any issues at all :D....
I suggest you try the same thing if the problem reoccurs...
Hope this helps....

sbee.

the problem returned so i opened the unit but couldn't get the ribbon loose so i left it alone but i had the unit on and noticed that when i touched the ribbon it would trigger pads 2 and 3. so it's obviously sensor related-maybe a short on the end that's under the pads. don't want to f*** up so i'll let it be for now
