It's not rocket science. It's not hard to find what samples dilla used, and IF you actually listen with intent of studying and breaking it down, you can figure it out by yourself. i have always been a dilla fan, will always been.

but as far as his techniques and samples,
I learned by making music and listening to it.

You will never learn unless you try.

I know alot of shit that he used and did to get that sound he had.

your the exact example why im not replying as much in this forum anymore because of your ignorance about becoming a ill producer. You dont know at all what your talkin about. studying drum patterns and analyzing what people do in each track all help dramiticly to becoming a proffesional. I'll admit that I'm a fan of Dilla's stuff on Donuts, Jaylib, Ruff Draft, and Jay Love Japan much more than the Tribe Called Quest / De La / Slum Village / R&B stuff... I just think he got more experimental after 2003. I must be a dumbass.
