another disk read error ?

how do i format a disk to MPC if i'm getting disk read error from my os 1.0? dont i need to have my mpc up and running for that? all input welcomed. t.i.a.

Have you tried making a new boot disk?

yeah tried that, downloaded new os from forat version 1.74 stil getting the samething. i even threw in a random 3.5 with nothing mpc related, did get disk read error but it said "no system flies found" or something to tha effect.

In that case, it sounds like you have a bad floppy drive.
