Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

I am a little confused as to wether i need to upgrade both RAM and CF flash card in my MPC 500 or is it just simply preference?

Are they the same thing????? ( sorry if this sounds stupid )
is there an advantage over RAM / CF Card????

advice greatly recieved?

the cf card is where your load sounds from and and save seq data, songs ect. The ram is the amount of sounds that can be loaded from the cf card.

In other words the bigger the cf card the more sounds/data can be stored, the bigger the ram the more sounds/data can be loaded.

In your situation I would definitely get a bigger cf card and then look into more ram.

dont feel dumb man.. i asked the same stuff when i started last year too. right now im rollin with 128MB Ram and a 2GB Sandisk CF card.

For the CF Card, you probably will want either a 1GB or a 2GB and you'll be able to get those at wal mart for like $20. radioshack will have them maybe, idk.

For the RAM, i got mine from eBay. But if you want, just search this site for the RAM topic. it shouldnt be 2 hard to find. That page will give you everything you need to know about Ram and CF cards. (CF stands for Compact Flash, in case you didnt know..)
