OS upgrades

i haven't changed the new OS since purchasing my MPC and wanted to know 1) what are the pros and cons about the new OS? and 2) where i can get the upgrade?

The Glitches...... Akai'sOS has its problems.

IMO... you should always reinstall a new OS when one comes out. There are fixes to bugs/problems and sometimes new features added for the unit in the newer OS.

Then again... I know people that still use OS 1.07 on thier 2000XL with no problems.
It's all up to what works for you.

i have a mpc 2500.

i want to update the OS (believe me!) but i'm pretty anal and need to comfirm with people who have tried it and succeded in installing the newer OS.

what is the most up-to-date OS out there? and where can i obtain it?

newest os is version 1.23

make sure also to download and read the manual addendum for 1.22, because there is info on new features in it.
