okay, so i figured out the deal with chopping.. now since the 1000 doesnt have this.. in recycle.. after setting the sensitivity and getting all the slices you want and getting the loop just right.. is there a way to make the program save all those individual samples as different files
or is manually doing it the only way?

thanks in advance

this is reference to recycle mainly i guess..or sound forge..whichever can do it

The reason why I am now using Recycle is because you can export the chopped sample from Recycle with a .akp file. Then take this .akp file and import it into the MPC program editor which automatically gives pad assignments to your chopped samples. I find this method to be fast and easy.

I guess one day I'll become efficient at chopping samples in the 1000 and I won't need to use these programs, but for now this is the was I am going to do my sh!t.

~Fu$k that, that's alot of work! Use recycle 2.1! I wish the 1k had zonin! 8)

:) Yo, i feel manually choppin your samples forces you to really listen to the samples closer. This in turn, i feel, spawns creativity. I own the classic 2000, non xl, and i dont have the zone feature. But doin it manually is actually fun now, it might take a little longer, but your more proud of your work when your done. But hey what do i know, ive never used "zoning" or any computer software to chop my samples so all i know is the manual thing, ya dig?

But yeah, a my beatmaking sessions consist of a lot of sampling, copying samples, and trimming. But i like that.
