no 500 faceplates or carrier cases?

i came across mpc stuff. com with their faceplates for other models but there is none for the 500, is this the case ? and does anyone no if they sell carrier cases anywhere?
Also ive deen 32gb compact flash cards for sale and has anyone used these with the 500 or whats the max used and tested? cheers

i ordered a 32gb compact flash on wednesday it should be arriving anytime now, so patience young grasshoppa. and you all better thank me cuz it costed me more than 100 dollars lol.

^ while your at it can you snag up a couple of manuals? Some of the noobs here seemed to have misplaced theirs.

Yeah there are no face plates for the 500. All there is for the 500 is styleflip sticker faces which are pretty sick, I plan on buing one later on.

As far as the CF card goes I use a SanDisk 4gb with no issues. I even put over 2gb of sounds on it to see if they would load properly and they did. Im not sure why Akai would say it only can use a 2gb???

On another note what is the highest amount of gigs that has been used on a 500?

Yeah style flip is tight. Im still thinking of a design for my 500 or I might not even get one cuz I think I should be upgrading to the 1000 within a year.

Oh and as far as cases go I will share a little secret.

The best thing to use is a portable dvd player case. Thats what I use and the 500 fits perfect in there. =)

There are multiple colors. You can design a whole sticker for it with text and you can even place in a photo of whatever you'd like... I suggest you look more into it cuz it seems your not getting the point of styleflip.com

I can't justify paying $40 for this even if it does look cool:

You can do more than just one color... You can make a whole design.
For example you can put a pic of spiderman slinging his web on your MPC. Or you can put on a whole graf writing all up on the MPC. Be more creative guys...

Once my internet is back up on my PC I will post an example of what styleflip can do... =)

Yeah, I know about the other options -- it's just they look a bit gaudy to me.
