M-audio Axiom With Akai Mpc "Need Help"

Im trying to use reason 4 as a sound module, this is my set up:

Mpc 2500
M-audio axiom 49
alesis multimix 16 usb
reason 4

and I have two midi cable both goin in and out of my mpc and axiom....I believe i have everything set up right, on the mpc this is my set up:

type: midi
pgm: off
midi: 1a

and no success, I cant record the sounds from the axiom keyboard....and ive been searching all over, watched ever youtube video discuss'n midi and still dont work.

im not sure if i have to set sumthing a certian way on my axiom midi keyboard....but I you know how to set this up please let me know asap!!!
