it is a strange deal - mpc can sample and play samples,, why this way?

I don't know why really, maybe it's a RAM issue. I'm not sure, but I thought I read some' about that. Sounds kinda logical to me. Those devices can expand their ram up to a max of 2mb. Then a few kb u need for running the os and for handling the sequence data is already too much u can miss. Plus maybe the os on a 950 covers less ram. That's the only reason I can imagine.

I tryed to find an answer in this article. Couldn't find it, but still an intresting article about preemo.

Did some research (yes, I have a real boring job, plus working on sundays ), but I found out that the s950 has a few more sample edit features then the mpc60, like crossfadelooping, timstretch and keyzones. I think this might also be a reason why some guys like to sample and program with the s950.

So a... and 950 support 48 kHz, as i know
