128mb ram in 2000xl??

Yo,
I wanna buy a 2000xl at ebay and the person who sells it says the mpc got 128mb ram.

But thats not possible right?

May it be possible that there is a 128mb ram card in it and you can use only 32mb of it. Or would a 128 card not even physically fit into the 2000xl and the guy is just an complete idiot?

Sounds either scammy or homeboy don't know shit about 2000XL's and thinks the shit is the same as a 1000 & 2500

Maybe he was saying he had 128mb of samples to give you with the MPC

it says in big letters "working memory extended to 128mb"

I mailed him and asked "why weren't the 32mb installed?"
he answered : "Because it was expanded to 128mb! Read the description!" ... haha damn ... i bet dude has broken everything while he tried to get that 128mb card into the slot :D

No such thing has ever been mentioned anywhere. However, I've heard that the 32MB limit on the XL is placed from the OS. If we could have an update we might be able to fit more ram into there. But for now, only 32MB's are universaly possible.

isn't their a mod for one of the mpcs that doubled it's memory, was it the 60 or 3000? or am i tripping out?

if this guy has hacked a larger memory capacity then you would think we'd know about it already

Nah, not really. I know u can USE only 32, my question is rather if u can put in a 128 card and then use only 32 of it.
But i guess a 128 wont even fit into the slot.

If you have actually seen both 2kxl ram and 128mb ram you wouldn't even have to ask that question.

You can look up the specs and how many pins either of them have online in just a few secs/clicks.

Know the ledge before you jump.

But you have to know some of it in order to get the most outta your gear.

If you don't know some of the technical stuff you "may" be seriously lacking.
