slow zip drive

My zip drive (LPT) is real slow when transferring files from zip to PC. Probably slower than copying files from floppy to PC. It's real quick, however, when copying files from PC to Zip. Is this normal?

Is it a parallel zip ? some are very slow, but try to check on the site of the constructor to see if they've got a patch to fix that. i had the same problem with a iomega zip 100, on their site they've got a good patch to reduce latency. Now it works very well :D

Yeah, mine's a Iomega 100 ZIP, too. Thanks, homie-- I'll look for a patch.

Hmm.. That patch was for Windows XP (/2000?) only. Ah well, I guess I'll just have to live with it. :(

try to download the latest drivers, and if it's still slow upgrade to xp ! :P
