MPC 2500 with JJOS & Yamaha Keyboard Motif 6 Setup

Hi there,

I've a MPC 2500 with JJOS free version and a Yamaha keyborad Motif 6. I need help with midi connecting all up.

1. How can I setup the MPC 2500 as the midi master and seqeuncer and the Motif 6 as the midi slave?

2. How can I connect the Motif 6 to the MPC 2500 so that I can record the keyboard sound into the MPC?

Thanks for your help! I really apprciate that you took you time to respond to me and also make a video about the setup. I myself have a Motif 6 and not the Motif ES6. I personally don't know much the difference but I manage to setup my system pretty well.

Although I still have lot to explore with the Motif 6 because it's such a complex keyboard and I can't wait until I'm really mastering all the thing I want to do in seconds. I really feel right now that my creativity is killed by the brain twisting menu and submenu I got to go through of the Motif 6.

Oh yes I wanted to record a sample into the Motif 6 but boy is a pain in the ass and I finally giva up.

Any tips on that?
