Ok, i take it that's all that was meant to come with it.
Now I've read the manual (before you lot pull the classic line out) is there anyway I can just connect the MPC to my PC (running Windows XP) and get the sound through that?

..again, with the McGyver edition jumper cable you can slice, chop (chop small) and dice with the best of 'em!!! For the super low price of $29.99... shipping $2,000.000.00
Supplies are limited too so act NOW!!

Just kidding, you will need an audio interface to get the sound to your PC to work with a DAW. The USB cable is for the transfer of data ie saves, OS uploads and back up... also sounds to and from MPC. If you need more, READ THE MANUAL> it comes with it (I hope) or look at AKAI pro web site for the info. From here on your going to have to research your answers. Most of the info you will be looking for (since you JUST got the MPC) will be in the manual.

Good luck.

It sounds like someone didn't do their research before they purchased or even really knew what they were buying. It's kinda sad considering there are really worthy cats that are dying to get their hands on an MPC but just can't afford one. I suggest in the future you actually do some researching and know before hand before you go and buy equipment. It really makes no sense to buy...then ask what it's supposed to have and what you can do with it.
