timing correction.

I have been trying for the last several sessions to swing some straight 16th notes (a sample of a shaker). I recorded the sample using the pads at a straight 16th, 140bpm. I stop overdub, and listen. So I want to swing the shakers. From the main menu I go to TC and change the swing from 50% to 65% and press "do it". Press play AND no change... I read the instruction book, and try again to no avail.
I have used the swing before. Can any of you think what I might have done wrong? Maybe I disabled the feature somehow? The auto quantize function works...any ideas?
cheers in advance

whats up. When you are in the TC field and you set the swing %, is the shaker pad or ALL selected? try that. Hope this helps peace

ok i see. Try this just as a test. Create a sequence -- while it is record mode hold down the shaker pad and the note repeat button. Listen to how the shaker swings. Then stop the sequence. Go into TC -- change the swing % to 75 and do it. Now record the shaker again holding down the note repeat. You should here that the shaker has a very noticble swing as it is being triggerd by the note repeat. Try this just as a test.
