Rule n°1: TURN OFF THE CAPS LOCK ON YOUR KEYBOARD

Rule n°2: If you can't figure something out READ the manual. I put READ here because I really mean read and try it out with the MPC instead of glancing through the manual

Rule n°3: If you really can't figure it out, use the search function on this board or check out some youtube beatmaking video's.

Anyways, MPC2000XL has something called programs. Programs assign sounds to different pads amongst other things. You can use up to 4 programs simultaneously. Don't know the correct term but I call those program holders. What probably happens to you is that when you slice a sound, you create a new program. When you load up your drums, that program probably replaces your sliced sample program. Check if your sliced sound program is still in memory. If so, all you got to do is assign that to a program holder.

Go to the program menu and check what's in all four of the program holders there. Check what programs you got in memory.

This should suffice for you to figure it out.
