YO 2000 heads

I saw a "fully expanded" mpc 2000 for $500, what do y'all think?

But yo, I really need major f*cking thing, that to me is dope(coming from a 60 owner) which is the zone sampler feature on the XL that looks amazing on you tube. A major reason why I want the mpc 1000 is because of the auto chop feature, ala JJ OS. I also am looking at the sp 606 because of auto chop.
Anyway, my question is, does the 2000 have anything like auto chop? or that zone chop feature that I saw in the XL?

Oh, and Im pissed, some dude just sold an XL for $300, missed it!

dam, the voice of reason..Seriously, you know, the whole "dont get caught up on the I have to have it right now" is so f*cking true!!!!! Its like a bug, an itch to buy buy buy!
Ok, so, let me ask you Mr. LampDOG, and I do value your insight, on the real, you are the man...Should I get a 1000 without the JJOS?...If I do, is it a **** to install? And, last, I am worried about the pads, Elmacaco gave me the 411 on the pads and the history of them regarding the 1000.
Anyway, but ya, I feel ya with gotta have it now sh*t!!! So true!!

Yeah, get the 1k.
I use a 2000 and love it but thats because I use it in conjunction with Logic, Ableton Live, Recycle and Guru. All of those take care of my timestretching, chopping, effects etc. Plus I midi out the MPC to soft samplers so the one PGM limit doesn't bother me. I personally don't need the extra features of the 1k.
But if you are a total MPC head, as Lamp says, only consider the 1k and above. I've recently been using a friend's 2500 with JJ OS and its great. I would now never even consider chopping samples on the 2k as its a ridiculously slow process compared to the new MPCs with chop shop etc.
I would love to keep the 2500 or get another one but couldn't justify the cost bearing in mind the other software I own

the 2000 for $500 is like £250, i paid £370 forwith 2 zip drives and 14 zips, plus a live demo (of the great Muied Lemens on this site!) and even he said, it feels much better than the 2500, as it is kinda "plasticy" and that the value will drop soon, when the value of the MPC will stay.

but yeh save up for the 1000...seems pretty nice (from what ive seen)
