akai mpc 2000 xl for 400 €(627USD)

Hi! Ive got an offer about a akai mpc 2000 xl (with 8 outs and cables) for 627 USD. I ask him how the mpc is and he said he had the mpc since 2 years. I dont know what to do cause maybe he send me a damaged mpc!

Then maybe pick it up? 400€ isnt expensive but also not incredibly cheap, its a possible price.

i think i will buy it one question how meny cost a usb zip drive!? because i must buy a a drive or can i use the mpc so without a zipdrive!?

price of the xl is dropping slowly all the time, if it has full ram (32mb) 400 euros is fair to good for xl with 8 outs

you should ask him if the data wheel is working well, no skipping, and the note variation slider, these are the two most common faults on the mpc .. ask him to do diagnostic check, search archives for how if he doesn't know, he can also check the pads then while he's at it

you will need a scsi zip drive not parallel port or usb, yes you can use it without but only 1.44mb storage on to floppy

A 2000XL with 8 outs for 400€ is a steal take it or someone else is gonna.
(make sure that the MPC is in full working condition before!)
you can get the ram and the zip drive for cheap.

yo then a lot joke with 400 euro MPC. with it you will have nobody fun. it certainly has one damage. if I am sure. but who must not wants to hear it tells to feel so nicely. the German one praise / worth of a MPC lies between 590 euro 660 euro.
