Inside the MPC 2000 their are two option board slots

Inside the MPC 2000 their are two option board slots one is for the EB16 effects board and the other is FMX008M.
What bis the FMX008M for ?

You had me excited for a second, then scratchin' my head because you said 2000 as in MPC-2000 classic! That's the one I have!! I think this expansion only applies to the XL.

Where do i get this EXP Board from ?

U used to get it from any musicstore
Now you just gotta watch ebay.
Its also for the 2k.
Great for must have samples etc.

For the classic there is the FMC01 board which has a different angle in it's slot. The XL cannot accommodate that one. You need to find the ultra rare FMC08. There was also the FMC02 which was the 16MB flash board but it was only available for the 3200xl s-series.

Flash ROM is what I dream of........

i think some of the service centres still do them new but they're stupid amounts of money, like 300 bucks for 8mb!

and when they come up used on ebay they're very pricey too

back to the other board, the eb16. Is it worth buying it?

The EB16 sure worths its money for a In-the-box solution. The FX sound damn clear and crispy but there's not much you can do with them, like duration etc. However, I'm 100% happy with it.

I thought I had flash rom because I was able to boot without a disk...But now I think i do not have it. Is there some small flash rom that holds the OS?

In the load window, when I put device on F-rom, Type reads = No FROM...I thought that having the device simply show up meant that I had it. Right?
So OS ROM?

my 2000 has that...still dont know how to use it propperly lmao
