Mpc60 have after-touch?

Wow this thread is blown way out of proportion.

Flat out MPC's don't have After Touch it's the pressure that you hit a pad at which the closest thing the MPC would have would be turning Full Level Off and hitting the pad.

I think people are getting too specific about the feature. As i said before the 60 has a very limited after-touch (probably one of the originals) but it is still after-touch. people that are saying that it controls vibrato and such are referring to the new and advance after touch such as that of a motif. Being limited doesnt exclude it from the pack.

all in all i think we are all going in circles which is why i tried to let this thread die. some people dont want to be wrong and some just dont even take others opinion into consideration. just take what you want from this a let it be!

It's what it is. Believe what you want, but try it on a keyboard to see what after touch is. Then you'll see the difference. If you have to lift the finger or wait till the next note played, it's not aftertouch. Even channel pressure does not work the way it is on the mpc. Then again, if you have to ask what it is, your opinion doesnt mean much to me.

I was referring to what he first posted up about the MPC having Velocity sensitive pads which it does so I didn't contradict myself. I am not that much of a rookie.
