I know it reads .wav but not all .wav files are acknowledged. In mpc editor I set up a program , then when I put the card in the mpc it only reads certian .wav files. The rest it says cant find (not exact msg)
I thought that if I could convert those sounds to .snd I would not have this problem.

I use mpcpgmmaker on a mac, but the wavs have to be 16 bit in the first place.

Exactly!
This could be your problem here.
Also, maybe some of them files are corrupted in the first place

This is definitely the issue if the MPC cant read it.... Its not 16bit, 44.1khz, or Broadcast Wave format... Try www.dbpoweramp.com, and use there free converter to convert the wave file to the correct file type, and then convert it to a .snd file in your MPC.
