When I load a program made w/ it onto the 60, the samples have crazy static distortion on the tails of the sounds. Is it my machine or is everyone experiencing this? I've read about other users having this problem, just want to know if it's not happening to some people.

I'm not having much luck with it either. It's a shame but I don't mind just sampling into the mp. I've got the same specs, but I'm having more problems from my computer than the actual mpc.

It would be great to have it working, but I found it took longer, if it worked at all.

Wow really I use it with my MPC 2000 Classic. I have a MPC60II but i have never used MPCProgram Maker with it. It has worked extremely well. Hopefully someone on here can help you determine if its just a 60 thing. I know 60's can be quite sensitive with sample play back. If it distorts a bit the 60 tends to exaggerate.

Make sure you format your Disk, Zip, Card in your 60 first. Keep an eye on how many Mb your using for your program. Make your program save it on the disk, zip, card you formated. Load it into your 60 (this will take some time converting from 3000 format). Save Save Save your new program from your 60 and you are on your way to MPCPGMMaker Heaven ( = Time saver)

PS don't get lazy and forget why you got a MPC it in the first place (For the internal chopping)!

Here's my setup :

MAC OS 10.4.10

MPC60 II 3.10e

PCD-25

USB CF reader/writer

First, I make a pgm in MPCpgmaker/MPCeditor.

Then, I drag and drop the sounds to the CF card.

Load said program into MPC60, and everything works perfectly.

If it was distorted I would not say it works perfectly.

Big Thanks!!!!

I'm stoked to get everything up and running!!!!

Peace

P.S. I will also have to replace the backlight on the mpc 60II. I checked on mpc-stuff.com and they list
one for the 60 mk1 and for the 3000. But I haven't been able to confirm if they are compatible with the
MPC 60 II.

Hey man dont get me wrong, before i got my 60 i had the same questions... then i had a little problem with one of the programs i used to get my samples on floppys.... it deleted my harddrive... dunno can happen, wel, anyway i havent turned my computer on even after it was fixed to sample from... everything goes straight in to the machine and i even think it speeded up my workflow ???
