Recording Issue

When I record, everything on the left records a little louder than the right side. Not a ridiculous amount, just if I listen to a song when my headphones are plugged into my sound card, the sides are balanced. I'll try recording the same song and it's left heavy. When I adjust the record knob, I have to find the right spot so that it is as even as possible cause when I adjust it, there are some points where the left comes in way more that the right side. Anyone know whats up? Am I going to have to send this thing in to get fixed?

Its not broken, its actually rather common to not have your levels completely balanced.

yes but every song i try to record is left heavy

didja try reversing yer cables to see if everything is RIGHT heavy? perhaps a good test so you can isolate the culprit....
