1. I assigned track 1, 2, and 3 to MIDI channel 1 which will playback Reason's Redrum, which I have a drum kit loaded
2. I recorded KIKs on track 1, snares on track 2, and hi hats on track 3
3. Next, I went into Track Mute
4. When you mute Track 1, it will also mute track 2 and 3.

So if you have a MIDI channel assigned to a track and turn on Track Mute, it will mute every other track that uses the same MIDI channel.

This is not a bug.

Manual page 73. I can't believe I missed this one.

The problem I experienced was due to have instant track mute on. With INSTANT TRACK MUTE ON, tracks will be muted instantly by sending MIDI VOLUME. With INSTANT TRACK MUTE OFF, tracks will be muted like legacy MPCs, by ignoring Note Off events.

SCD, thanks for all your help in the forums!

[not a bug ] CF card compatibility problem :

Unable to delete a folder on the card from the edit menu.

The MPC write " deleting...." but nothing happen

Only way is to put it off & delete the folder from a computer in USB mode.

Maybe it s my CF ?? anyone can confirm ?

Sony CF card Type 2 2GB

Can't reproduce that. I've tried it with folders created previously via computer and via folders I used the 5000 to create. All folders delete when asked. I'm using a cheap 512mb Deolux card.

Is the card write protected maybe? Not sure if that is possible with CF cards at all. Just thinking.

Even after a format ( with the mpc ) of my CF card i m still unable to delete FOLDERS on it.

Deleting individual files works fine though

That is pretty weird. Do you have access to a different CF card to compare?
