2 track recording with stock out?

Somebody told me that you can record 2 tracks at a time with only the stock out.
Can somebody tell me how this can be done?

Pan your sounds to the output you want to record in the mixer menu.

Even if you bought the eight outs, you would have to essentially do the same thing. Don't worry too much about recording.

Just when I tought that I had everything going for me and now here comes the tracking confusion.
I have a 12 channel mixer that has my mpc, and my sound mod holding together. Now I want to start the recording process, but I don't have the 8-out board option, and that is why I originally asked about tracking with the stock outs.
I tought I understood the tracking process well enough to explore on my own, but I need yall help again.
I'm thinking about purchasing the fostex mr-8 since I don't plan to upgrade to 8-out anytime soon, and since the mr-8 records 2 tracks at a time I thought it would be just perfect for me.
but my question is... how can I track my songs 2 tracks at a time into the mr-8 thru my mixer?
This just does not make any sense to me.
Could someone please explain the process?

In the mixer screen of the mp, pan one pad hard right (all the way to the right) and another pad panned hard left. This will keep one sound on the right main out and one on the left main out so you can record two sounds at a time. Either mute all your tracks that's not for those sounds in the sequencer screen or turn the volume for all the sounds you are not using in the mixer screen and keep the two pads you are recording turned up.
