I've been having random freezes as well. it blows.

The jog wheel is also "buggy" at times, it won't scroll properly and when I go to almost any mode it lags as well. This thing is definitely a beast to be tamed though, hopefully it will happen soon. I don't think I can wait more than 4 months with this machine, I mean it was $2,500, i't s a big chunk of change. Akai should have a team of engineers looking at the OS constantly and releasing updates more regularly. how complicated is it really?

yea, you are kinda at the point about how I feel Ritec.... Im already searching for MPC 4000's, but I cant find none on ebay for the life of me that are at the price of when I reserved my MPC 5000....

Thinking about that, I wonder, if the 5000 kinda dropped the price on the used ones, and then when they came out and werent selling like some peeps thought, they took the price back up on the used 4000's? Damn!!!!

Do you have to reboot everytime you wanna clear the H/D. I've tried the delete and purge but even though it may say it freed up 50MB, it won't even load a 20+MB file unless you turn off and back on. There has gotta be something you can do to erase everything and have the memory actually be free instead of saying it is but not even be able to load 20MB.
