I don't see a reason to at all. The only thing I'd want is a waveform editor, and frankly, since I found REX2MPC -- I don't even need that. Who wants to edit waveforms on a crappy little LCD when I can do it in Recycle then export it to my MPC?

Hell, you don't even need Recycle -- just use Audacity. I don't even need a waveform editor often -- except for really complicated chops.

Got my 500 Jan 5th 08 ... Luv'n every minute of it! It's amazing because just when I think I know so much I turn around & learn something new even after 7 months. I still wonder how they put so many capabilities in such a little unit? I marvel over the technology.

i have had my mpc for a year or so, didnt really do much with it, but now, i want to start using it live for vocal and one-off drum blasts when i preform with my spectralis, that thing covers most everything a person could need,


i had the 1000, but the pad thing scared me, i like things that dont require a lotta fuss, if a pad went out i woulda been skrewed for a long time, so i decided to take it back, get the 500, besides for what i use it for all the other stuff isnt needed....... i must admit, hardware is more fun in just about every way, i cant understand people who dig the computers,

Had the 500 for 5 months. Now I have the 1000 for 8 months. I really liked the 500, but I needed some more powerful, cuz my 500 was my basic setup. Didn't even had a comp with it.

But the 1000 is really my machine. It just works for me. But still I want to ad a 500 to my setup, cuz I realy like to work on it, plus it's perfect for making beats on the go.

Just got mine and its great! The 500 is best for around $500. It was effortless to purchase cause the cost...Ive seen alot of used ones for even half that. Iam new to mpc and its completely easy to navigate.

I've had mine for about 2 months now. My first MPC. Took a little while to catch on to it. I'm starting to enjoy it now.
