If it wasn't in this life time...than it must have been another. But there were some restrictions to whom could post in the MPC 3000 forum a long time ago.....

Tutor, SCD, Just Blaze..and yes..myself have all created posts about our experiences with the MPC 5000. In fact, I was the first among them that gave the good and bad about the MPC 5000 thus the sticky bug report at the top of the thread. If it is not plain to see...Tutor, SCD, Just Blaze and myself all have something in common..we are actual MPC 5000 users. Most of the posters in this forum are not, which is a fact. It's not about preventing people from giving their opinions on the MPC 5000. No MPC 5000 user here has tried to do that as you imply by your post. But it is about people they don't own/or use the MPC 5000 to post in every thread about how much they hate Akai and the MPC 5000. This thread is a great place to vent and rant. But even Tutor had to step in and clean up the more useful threads in the 5K forum because obviously the others mods were not interested since it didn't impact the respective forums for the MPCs they use. Tutor even saw a need to create a thread about the good things in the MPC 5K....and he rarely posts anymore. Potential users cannot get any good info if non-users keep trolling all the threads saying the same thing. I would hope that these are not the voices you would want in every thread.

Again....No other forum on the internet has members that have so much hate for a company and its products. Simply visit them yourself and don't take my word for it.

In 2009 or 2010....you will be buying the MPC 5000 and thanking the actual users here today for sticky with it. In 2011, I will be exchanging my MPC 5000 for the MPC 6000 and writing about it...right here.

Yeah - I personally think all NUAKAI's need to be re-invented. This 5000 looked like shit in the ad's and felt like shit at GC. I shook my head and walked away to the drum dept and started playing drums lol. The ones the purchased it ARE beta testers/guinea pigs - NUAKAI knows damn well whats wrong with this shit yet they put it out. good luck to those that copped it, 2500.00 is 2500.00 to anyone in here. I still happily keep my Akai Mpc / Asr / emax combo and stay focused and not become a gearslut.

good luck hope the machine will become what you was promised.

I doubt it homie - Unless they are going to re-build it see aside from the bugs, the machine is built like crap - 2500-3000 machine with a data wheel that belongs on a toy? and dont forget the crappy sound quality among other things.

Have you forgetten you are restricted banned user Jah?? But you are getting a pass as long as you behave yourself. Yes we do keep it down for all comers to use the 5k and make music which is what the forum is for everyone that wants to make music.

If anyone has any doubts about any MPC all they have to do is listen to the music that was made with the particular mpc at hand. We all can see tons of youtube videos with different users using an mpc of choice banging out some fire and some not some banging tunes too.

It never was and it definitively isn`t about what you have. It is all about the music and this case workflow with the tool at hand. Everyone can see the potential if it ever comes together. My estimation is about a year so I stress patience, hope, and communciation with the powers that be at Akai Numark don`t be mad at me I didn`t design it.

All opinions within reason are open, all discussions within civility are encouraged, and all tips and techniques are supported.

One can`t hate a machine, but it is understandable if one has frustration just don`t vent out on others get it fix, work it out, or find your way to use it.

This is a rant thread so all can give their piece. If I were you I would post up a how you work to make you music along with your gear in another thread of course.

Always alternate point of view Jah no one way to do it.

This is a rant thread but at least use the MPC 5000 and give your opinion instead of just recycling what other users have experienced. Its amazing to see a product that only a few people around here use yet it is keeping the majority of forum members up all night

When the next OS update is released, I will be here writing threads to help users get the most out of their MPC and as a source of information for anyone thinking about picking one up. But don't hate me for it. Blue Haze, you have plenty of followers in your MPC-cult. I am not trying to steal your shine. :P

I think that the most intelingent thing to do is try to figure out workarounds for the problems we are facing until the update comes. It's really easy to criticize, it's really hard to come up with solutions!
cheers

How about when the next OS update is release giving tips and steps on how to use it to make music. I think that is what most users have problems with on any MPC.

It means nothing to have something that one can`t make his or her endeavors realized!!! Jah helping others goes a long way than just mouthing off which is why you were banned in the first place. It should be a lesson learned by now for a grown man.

Only thing we all should want (I think) to shine is our MUSIC right like some of the distinguished producers that posted in this thread? Unless you want to pat yourself on the back each time you get the newest gear as part of a standing collection. Most people are very practical with their money and time it is all about the MUSIC and WORKFLOW no bragging rights, no AKAI museum collection, or how many keyboards gathering dust just the artistry of one`s creation.

Just another point of view.

NO HATE INNOVATE, son.

Yep, can't say I saw that coming - question is, was this put out so quickly due to the massive public pressure from here and the JB blog? Maybe a press release is due form Akai to clear it all up...

No, this update was already planned and has nothing to do with pressure/JB.

my biggest issue was this "Fixed a memory leak in disk mode causing the unit to freeze after heavy disk mode usage."

I gotta go in early to the studio now... so i can make sure this actually works.... if it does, ill shouldnt have any problems using this live now

Cool. It was nice to see the MPC 2500 get an OS update as well...although there really isn't a good reason for long time MPC 2500 users to install that OS since the JJ OS is available.
