No, not free, just really cheap or for trade for something I have.

dont u have to change it from floppy to atapi/ide, ie CF not being a floppy device.

i got the scsi version and it has 3 slots, which i have identified as Scsi-1,2,3, just cursor to that fild and change it to atapi.

Sorry guyz i was out for holidays....

I am getting back to you ...
First of all this Cf reader works on another mpc i did check on french forums. People there cant help me too much with the install...

My os is 1.2 the one i should use that s what they said ( ppl who are using it ) , i removed the jumper on it , my ribbon cable comes from an old pc between a cd player and the moterboard (40pins).
I changed the power connector it works fine i tried with the floppy device.I formated my cf card
When i start the mpc it says no floppy and ask for F-ROM and that s it ...
The problem might come from the ribbon???
Many thanks in advance !!

I had a similar problem with my recent install of a card reader, but it turned out to be the CF card, and this was all purchased from mpc-stuff too! As soon as I bought a new card (Sandisk ultra II I think) it all jumped into life!! Stick with it and it should be fine...

There's plenty of threads on here to help by the way.
