ok, so i literally been checking the akai site everyday for the updated os to fix the bug about the hp not saving. so since i got a day off work today i just called akai myself. the guy i talked to said he wasnt aware of this and put me on hold to test it himself. he said that i was right and also said the lp and bp saves except for the hp. also said he never heard of the problem yet, and i just said i go to a forum site that everybody is complaining about it (not saying what site though). he said he was gonna inform the higher people in the company about the problem and he would call me back. he called me back, said they are aware of it and are definitely in the process of fixing this problem, he just cant give a date of when it would be fixed, but his estimate said in a week or two??
so just off this experience the customer service seemed to be very helpful. he thanked me a lot for calling and informing him about the problem caus i guess not all of them know about it over there, and he said i did the right thing by calling. he also said if it isnt fixed within a week or two, to call back. while i was talking to him toward the end of the convo, i asked if i had any suggestions for new features in a newer OS who can i talk to, and he said himself. just call them and make suggestions. he said if they get enough suggestions within a certain amount of time, they definitely look into it. and the way it looks, one major complaint about the 500 before was it only had lp filter.... now the problem is being *fixed*. so probably if we get all the good ideas organized, like from the thread "OS 1.30+ wishlist"... and we all call, they will consider it to a degree it might happen (depending how many people call). we all see by this site that we somewhat stick together all hoping for better mpc products/features/ etc. so we should work together all calling akai about these features we want on the next os. NOW, lets not overexagerrate and say the impossible wishes like grid edit for the 500 (my idea lol), but stuff like track volume, and other things they can do. there are good ideas in the thread "OS 1.30+ wishlist". any ideas on things to add should definitely be put in that thread, get organized, and call akai about. as for this thread, should be about us all calling akai to either fix these bugs, or add new features. lets work together people, its seems very much in reach if we do. in ur free time, call 401.658.4032 for technical support. am i the only one who loves my mpc500 this much to call them and try to make something happen???
