GOT MY 1K JUST UPGRADED FRM 500..SO MY 1K IS A VERSION 2.10 BLUE AND RED... CAN I JUST UPGRADE WITH THE VERSION 2.11 THAT AKAI HAS ON THERE WEBSITE? AND CAN I INSTALL THE JJOS ALSO?

i did the same thing you did just a couple of weeks ago, get jj os or atleast try it. but i can almost promise you if you try it for a few minutes you'll be rushing back to buy an access password soon after

Get the JJ OS and forget the 2.11...

if your really that unsure then just get jj os1 for now, thats what i'm doing. i have to pay for some repairs on the used 1000 i got so i don't have too much money to blow but the os is totally worth it. makes it a whole new machine.
