What do u guys think about the mpc 500 convertors

i need to know if the converters are worthy of a good perfessional mix

The DAC's on the MPC-500 colors the sound a bit, but not in a bad way. The sounds is a bit warm, but not fuzzy/muddy. The sound on the 1000 model is a bit clearer.
The unit tends to make a low noise when it's run on powersuply.

Yeah, there`s definitely something going on there that gives it character. It`s not a pure clean sound, but to my ears sounds a lot nicer than any computer audio interface I`ve ever used.

Compared to my Yamaha A5000 and RS7000 samplers the MPC500 sounds very good. The Yamaha's always seem to sound a bit muddy while the MPC sounds clear and punchy.

I've found that the normalise function in Trim mode can cause some nasty clipping when used sometimes, so I always try to record a hot as possible (without clipping) and stay away from the normalise function.
