24 bit conversion tips?

I have a bunch of sample cd's & dvd's I'd like to convert from 24 to 16 bit. Then drag them on my mpc2500 hd and bang away.

Any tips on apple mac software able to convert a folder with subfolders with 24bit .wav files?

A good editor should work for you. Some do batch conversions which helps process all 24 bit files to 16 bit in one go. I personally use Sound Forge and find it works wonders for such tasks as that.

ah so if soundforge can do a whole batch at once I'm fine.

I usually use Logic in stead of Audacity since I'm used to it.

i use logic as well, but haven't seen anything about batch conversion.

nah it's really annoying you have to load every sample, can't import whole folders i guess
