Continuing where the last bug report thread left off - please list any outstanding bugs after the recent OS update.

EDIT: Please note that this isn't a 'rant' thread, nor is it a 'fix this now' thread - I just want to collect all outstanding bugs in one place.

JOG WHEEL BUG:

Jog Wheel increments still not picked up 100% in screens like program sample assign and mixer screen.

Bug

Record SYSEx data

SYSEx dump from a Triton to the 5000.

MPC 5000
Program Off
Type: MIDI
Midi on 1A

On the Triton going to Global / Menu / Midi / Drop Down Menu / Dump Sequencer

STILL THERE

The sequencer will still freeze up when holding down the Repeat button off and on, along with a pad, switching with a few fingers between note values. After working with this routine simultaneously, eventually, after loops, tadaaaa.... sequencer frozen solid. Sorry, this is just a technique i use to come up with changes, but it works fine with other MPC's.

Also, MPC 2000 snd files work every now and then, SCD, if you want the samples, ill shoot em to ya... Also the .snd files will not load up with the programs for MPC 2000 files

Older MPC Compatibility bug:

MPC3000 format programs are not loading at all - no program in memory and no associated sounds loaded.

I am aware that 3000 programs are not officially supported in the specs, but considering all other MPCs load them fine, it would seem an oversight.

Not sure if that is an oversight, but I will ask for you.

The releasenotes for 1.02 don't mention this one being corrected yet, so please have some patience.

Hitting " overdub " or " overdub + play " often make a little jump that desynchronise the midi when the MPC is in External Sync mode.

How to reproduce it :

Sync the MPC in Slave mode with a software sequencer or a drum machine.

Add another drum machine to the MIDI OUT 1 2 3 or 4

Press play on the master.

1 Hit overdub + play to record something on the MPC.

2 Release overdub.

Do the same process a few times (1 & 2)

You should hear what i m talking about ...

I guess the MPC is sending another start message

I tried to reproduce this. Without any luck. Could you provice me with a sequence and tell me what pads you hit etc.?

Definately! You *are* talking 1.02 right? (I have no 2000 so you must provide me with the files indeed).

Thanks, Boele

I also tried & didn t manage to reproduce it :

- 5 minutes hitting the note repeat button & pads like a mad, i even changed the TC a lot while doing this.

- Tried at many tempos with the MPC empty or with a big project loaded in both play or record mode

I use the note repeat a lot & never had any freeze with it.

Do you have the memory expension 4dhaterz ?

Yea, i do have the mem expansion homie.... its something i get after working with trying to play drum rhythms(i guess me being a drummer kinda stretches thing far beyond certain computer limits  ) that are different.

Record SYSEx data

I'm facing the same problem. SysEx events can't be recorded. Later on I'll have a look at pushing some in by hacking a .mid file. There's definitely activity on the cable when dumping programs from my RackAttack or MC 505 but MPC5k doesn't record anything. Dumping CC information works fine.
