Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Hi all,

I know it is possible to find a LOOP start- and endpoint based on an amplitude threshold. In short for who doesn't know how to do this yet:

sample > loop/trim [f2] > start position field > window key

You can set a threshold there and the loop start point will be found accordingly. Same thing for the end position.

Now here is my question:
Is it also possible to find REGION startpoints based on an amplitude threshold, so I can set region startpoints to the attacks of my beats. More or less like recycle...

My point is that I use off-16th-grid grooves so deviding the sample into 16 equal parts does not quite work for me. I have to manually reset all region start points. It is not actually thát bad, but I was wondering if it could be done automatically.

Does anyone have a good tip for me?

Thanks.

Cheers!
