I've got a problem, can anyone help?

I've got an MPC2000xl and on my cursor, the "down" button has stopped working. Everything else is fine mainly, but when I try to move around on the screen the "down" button does nothing. Does anyone know what could be doing this? Or what needs to be replaced? I can't do ANYTHING on my sampler with it like this....

Youve probably pushed that button so hard or so much that it has lost its alignment with the hardware under it. I know it sounds ghetto but try just gently wiggling the button to the left or right while you push it. GENTLE is a key word because theres probably already some damage done. The only other option i know of is sending it to a pro which can cost hundreds. Good luck
