add that to the fact that the machine has bugs, some of which are unexcusable (in MY opinion), it makes for a bad experience.

Wow , especially it coming from someone who's an idol to many. A lot of folks don't have the time & patience for this.

I wonder how many other reputable producers feel this way? Maybe a little more R&D would have helped before the 5k was released to the masses.

A) the rant took 10 minutes to type. wasn't a whole lot of time or energy.

This is probably blasphemy but are justblaze's beats as fast as his typing?
I actually never heard his music... This will ban me from the forum. For sure!

No...it is not blasphemy. He is just one of many Hip-hop and R&B producers out there.

Wow...If that shit don't sound condescending right there..lol
He may be one of the "many".. but dude is really out there add to the fact that how many of the many that are actually "out there" that take time to correspond to the half wacky and straight up weird internet community..at least show that much respect..

If you worry about what Just Blaze says. You probably believe every gangster rapper is a serial killing thug. The MPC 4000 use to get a lot of haters. Look at it now!!! All it needed was a new OS. Oooo.. Who has one now? JUST BLAZEEEEE!!!

People are always ready to attack the messenger rather than listen to the message. If you disagree just disagree with the guys based on your own facts no need to go off topic getting negative on a fellow (successful producer) I might add. It is all about the music and the fellow has made some great music that alot aspire to become just as successful.

Remember he didn`t post this rant on MPC forums S cence did off on his blog and he has been a long time member off and on over the past 4 yrs responding to certain interests and questions he had.

We are all MPC users but we all are not full time producers. No one only wants to be an collector, hobbyist, or just a consumer of mpcs and music gear right?

Disagree with him if you wish, all jokes aside but his work speaks for itself no matter what gear he uses, it is the man.

SCD one of my favorite Blaze joints http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waSuGcUQPII

Now does that makes him right and you wrong NO!!!! Does it makes him a experienced professional just like you YES.

Make music whatever gear you have as long as it bumps.

That is pretty cool indeed! There is much "air" in that mix. wow.
I also went through some videos on his myspace site. He does quite different things with the V-synth than I do...

I think the music he's into (hiphop and related styles, is that sort of correct?) is not as big in Europe as it is in the US of A. You nearly don't hear this kind of music on local radio stations...

Thanks for the link Blue Haze, you got me into another music experience I would never have looked up myself. Nice.

Some people collect stamps..others collect coins.....some people collect baseballs and pay $1 million for them  So if someone wants to collect MPCs, keyboards, etc..so be it. I am a hobbyist. I enjoy that role in my spare time. By I don't feel a need to dis any of the fake Just Blazes on the internet because I really don't care what they do. What I wrote in this thread is not a personal attack on anyone. In the context of the Just Blaze rant, I left my opinion (like I always do) and respect everyone else enough to let them express their opinions. However, there is nothing wrong with disagreeing with others' opinions. I like the MPC 5000 and enjoy making music with it as well as testing the limits of its OS. As Just Blaze wrote...I am also a beta tester by nature. Again...the content of his rant is the same as what is being said across every forum on the internet about new products. The only difference is that this site appears to be the only forum dedicated to a brand name that outright hates that respective brand. Where's the love? (no need to answer that but if you do, just keep it in this rant thread).

By the way...everytime Akai drops a new MPC, it's funny to see how so many people around here hate on the actual users of these new products because they enjoy using them. ???

...we get it. Akai is unpopular in this forum. Despite that, there are a few of us that enjoy their products and will continue to buy them. Everytime there is an MPC released that is better than my current one (such as the MPC 5000 being a major upgrade to the MPC 2500), I will pick one up as soon as it hits the streets and give you my honest opinion on it...that's what I do. My intention is not to be the next Just Blaze. But I wouldn't mind being the next Kanye.

EEEkkk! No.
I am more into this: http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=Kzqg7K87GJU Skip the first 3.00 minutes. Blaze was just born and I was 14 when this music came out :D I like arpeggiators and sequencers running old synthesizers mostly. No MPCs around in those days but Moog step sequencers with a blasting 24 steps :-)
