OS Q&A (well, hopefully A)

Ive used my 2000xl for over 8 yrs. It is my baby. But up to this point ive never been tempted to experiment with changing its operating system.
Questions:
1. Where do i download a new OS
2. What do i store it on
3. How do i transfer this data to my MPC
4. How will this change my MPC
5. Any suggested OS for a producer who likes to use long samples (Vocal, Ambient noise) on his 2000xl

Im new to the forum but im very experienced using my MPC for studio and live situations. I hope to be a helpfull member of this cyber community. And if you live near austin, TX hit me up

updating the os will do sweet **** all to the overall appearance and function of your unit. it just allows cards readers to access larger disks.

your probably confused with the JJ os , over on the other units, (1000, 2500)

It depends what kind of storage drive you have on your MPC. Floppy? Zip? Memory Card Reader?

3. How do i transfer this data to my MPC
Floppy? Zip? Memory card?

4. How will this change my MPC
It depends on which OS you put on it. The above download is for the 2000XL OS 1.2

5. Any suggested OS for a producer who likes to use long samples (Vocal, Ambient noise) on his 2000xl
The OS won't help you with that. Only maxing out your memory to 32Mb will help you with long samples.
