Hello mpc'ers. I wanted to know if this was possible:

Lets say you load up a 808 kit, with kicks, snares, bells, etc. Now is there a way I can save only save the project with the sounds i used instead of having all the sounds in the kit saved. Let me explain more detailed. Lets say you load up a kit with 4 sounds, tr 808 kick and snare, tr 909 kick and snare. Now what if you only use the tr 808 kick and snare, and not the tr 909 sounds. Do I have to always use the wheel to remove and purge out the unused sounds, or do is there another way? Im just curious because If you want to load up a kit with your fav sounds and only use a few, is there a way only to save the sounds used in memory, instead of the whole kit.

You'd need to remove the sounds you're not using from each program, and then do a purge to remove the unused samples. From there you can do a save all and only save what you are using.

create a new program that contains only the sounds you want to use

seems pretty obvious

to the original poster - not trying to insult or talk down to you whatsoever, but a lot of threads on here come up with questions like this that if one were to just think about it for the amount of time it takes to make the post, the problem could probably be figured out
