I was trying to snyc my MPC 1000 to Cubase SX when nothing would work on the 1st input then as soon as i tried the 2nd BAM! its working. The MPC itself is only like 3 months old and was purchase new, should i be sending back the MPC or is this some type of bug in the JJ ?.

Im using 4.9x, also is there some type of MIDI port testing apps ?

Here are my setting on my MPC 1000

Sync in:2
Mode : MIDI CLOCK
Recive MMC: off

This works fine but only on the second MIDI in port, im just thinking is it worth taking it back cause it only new ?

It should work... I'd contact the retailer and see about an exchange... don't forget to back up first though.

Dude, there's nothing wrong with the MPC. Those settings will produce exactly the results you are getting. If you want to receive different types of sync/transport control from a different input you have to change those settings to what you want.
