Review by Stoni:

While I appreciate someone wishing to post a positive review in the wake of so much negativity, that has got to be the most one-sided review I've read of ANY product for a long, long time. Even Akai wouldnt admit to the 5000 being the pillar of perfection that Stoni seems to think it is. It's embarrassing - sounds more like a draft Akai press release IMO.

Because that's exactly what it is! :?

Stoni is essentially an Akai mouthpeice. As a producer her resume stops with her MySpace page. The biggest music accomplishment doesn't seem to reach any further than simply being female beatmaker. The beats posted on her myspace and website are rookie level when matched against the implied expertise level.

I don't knock anyone but when you present yourself as an musical or technical authority have the resume/discography to back that ish up. That's my take on it

Stoni Page paste:

In January 2006, Stoni was the only female hip hop music producer who performed a live music showcase for thousands of spectators at The Winter Namm Show in California.

In March 2006, Stoni perormed a live music showcase at Remix Hotel Miami 2006 at Akai's booth. Stoni was the first female hip hop music producer to perform music live for Akai Professional at any music industry event.

In June 2006, Stoni presented the MC2500 drum machine at Remix Hotel NYC 2006 with a live music showcase.

Being the first female hip hop producer to showcase beats on the drum machine for Akai Professional, Stoni showcased her music on the MPC2500 drum machine at Remix Hotel Miami 2006 and Remix Hotel NYC 2006.

the article only speaks the truth......

It felt like having a virtual rack of Minimoogs placed inside the MPC5000.
