I am at work right now but I will try to reproduce the exact bug tonight... last night I was loading a folder of samples into the memory and when I went into program mode and tested the sounds they all had the loop engaged automatically so when I played a snare it looped until it faded. I can't remember what I was doing prior to loading the sounds but I will try to recreate that tonight. Anyone else have that issue/non-issue?

loop ponts can be added outside the mpc. so if you downloaded the samples somewhere or recorded them with an application on your computer it's possible that loop points were already in the wav-files.
this is not a bug!

I have the same problem, sometimes with own sampled drums.... so, there aren't any loop points in the wav file.....

it's in OS 2....

i use it one-shot, yes, but not in an inst programm... in a normal pgm... i load them, assign them to a pad, press the pad and it loops the shit, until it fades out sometimes.... and in trim mode, all samples I've loaded and assign are looped.....

its not the end of the world... but it anoys a bit.... ;)

thx, but this isn't the problem... (and I don't want the drums by note on....) ... It would be cool, if the samples not automaticly would go to "loop on", that would be cool.... so that I don't have to set it to "loop off", every sample.....

the samples you're importing are all set to NOTE ON from whatever source you got them from. there may be some non-mpc software to batch convert them - a file attribute stripper or something, maybe.

by the way, utilizing the release in your adsr settings, having drums NOTE ON gives you more control of their tail than having drums ONESHOT. when they're ONESHOT, you have no control over the RELEASE of their tail. when they're NOTE ON and you've set the ADSR correctly, you can still play them like oneshots - a light tap plays the complete drum sound, and the release creates a tail after you've released your finger.

Yea thats the issue is that they load into the program with loop automatically on...whats even stranger is that if I load those sound one by one it doesnt happen...only when I load the folder
