Someone give advice for a audio interface for my setup.

I got a laptop with usb and firewire outs and running Vista OS. What are my best options for good audio quality that will definitely work vista. I'm really not trying to spend over three bills either. I got my eye on the yamaha and m-audio firewire right now...

there is no best. There is the one 'erbody talkin up on......the one ya man's nem rockin at they joint......the one that works fa your set-up.......and the one that is a hassle. Now somewhere in there is the one you gonna go and get, as well as the one(s) ppl will tell you about. My main concern is what definitely works with vista and what doesn't yet. I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on equipment I can't even use.
