MPC2000XL to MPC5000 - Compatibility

i want to get the new MPC5000, but i want to know if anyone has been having any file compatibility issues..

how well does the 5000 load up the .PGM files?
i have a 2000XL with maxed memory, 8-outs, and the effects card installed (and zip 100 drive)
i know the effects card in the 5000 is a physically different card..
i want to know if the 5000's effects card translates the 2000XL effects settings..
also i want to know if the 5000 will load the .PGM file with the exact same drum tuning settings
(i have a lot of linn and DMX sets already made with a lot of different drum tunings...)

also, has anyone had any problems opening a 2000XL .ALL or .APS file in the 5000???

i have seen the compatibility / comparison chart at the akaipro site, but it doesn't mention the .ALL, or .APS file types..

they got part of it working... ill confirm which problems you will have tomorrow when i get back to my studio with my 2000xl files

Yes, i had no pb to import PGM files on my 5000.

Didn t try yet..

they have to .wav files instead of .snd files of course
